Sweet smell of success?

Well my little mini-me is potty trained...sort of. While Jack was gone playing army I decided to concentrate on getting it done. So we went to underwear during the day. I told myself no turning back. I didn't care how many accidents. So for a week she was doing great one accident here and there but for the most part really good (even with poop) Week two was good until Thursday she pooped in the drawers and now it's been a daily event. But with no #1 accidents. I'd hate to go back to pull ups when she's doing so well on the one side...but poop in the panties is not fun to clean up.

Do not give in. Be strong!!! I know you can do this. Have you treid rewards for pooping in the potty? Some kids are scared of the difference they feel when pooping on the potty. That is how Steven was. She may just need some hand holding and reassurance. Just watch for the I need to poop cues.

I hate it when you use those words like "poop" and "crap"! Where ever did you learn those? Are they the words what you want your children to grow up to use? I didn't think so....neither do I. I love those babies...and my granddaughters don't poop and crap... they may go to the bathroom, "go potty"..or have an accident..but that's it. XO grandma/mom

You don't know me but I can offer one suggestion on the potty training. Have her clean the poop out of her panties... she won't like it and it will be a thing of the past quickly. I had the same problem with my son and this worked.

Hey Jill!
Mom says you are mad at me?! What gives?! Hooray for potty training!! Hooray for not paying for diapers (though I love buying them and have a 62 pack of Pampers cruisers right here to anonymously to a young mother at church). Glad you liked Turtle Beach ... it was always one of our favorites. Have you been to the water park or to the Laguna beaches yet? Also, there are great surfing lessons for your teen at Waikiki (not my favorite beach, but has some really good local surfers who will teach you almost free if they know you are not a tourist.) Been to Bellows yet? That place was one of our favorite hangouts on weekends. Ask a local friend where to find shells, there are only a few beaches that have good ones and you have to go at low tide (I forget the Hawaiian names for the beaches, and even if I did remember them, I wouldn't post them on the internet... wouldn't be island style bra')
